Benefits of joining
The benefits of working as a multi academy trust are now well documented in terms of sharing expertise, economies of scale and shared services. Membership of Impact Education Multi Academy Trust will give partner academies access to a range of support and services and the opportunity to shape these as the Trust grows.
Our approach relies heavily on shared accountability for raising achievement by commitment to our vision and values. Academies new to the Trust will also be expected to commit to pro-active membership, which will ensure that the Trust continually improves the offering for staff, children and young people in all of the partner academies.
Our strategy of growth with care ensures the Trust has the capacity to meet the needs of each joiner academy in terms of support, challenge and leadership without compromising the core purpose of any academy within the Trust. Details of the Trust's system leadership capacity can be found here: Impact Education System Leadership Capacity
Support and challenge will take place within a clear framework of accountability to drive up standards. Joining Impact represents a unique opportunity to draw on expertise across both primary and secondary phases through our hub model, led by experienced senior leaders and a range of SLEs and Lead Practitioners across the key areas of: Leadership Development, Teaching & Learning, Behaviour & Wellbeing and Curriculum, Assessment & Achievement.
Leadership Development & Career Opportunities
Being part of a wider learning community will bring opportunities for cross academy working through a variety of school improvement projects. Staff across the Trust will also have access to a dynamic Coaching for Excellence Programme and the opportunity to apply for SLE status, along with a range of leadership programmes e.g. NPQML.
We recognise that primary and secondary academies have differing needs and our hub structure reflects this. Our Executive Headteachers bring significant experience and expertise in primary, secondary and through schools and our approach to delegation is in line with the National Governors’ Association (NGA) earned autonomy model.
Our Finance team has a wealth of experience managing school budgets and PFI agreements. All academy partners will be asked to move to the Corero Financial Management System Resource 3200 to ensure consistency for auditing and reporting purposes and our finance team will be
there to manage the transition. Whilst partners will continue to manage their own budgets, ongoing support and guidance will be available for all aspects of financial management.
We recognise that the conversion process can be a distraction away from core purpose for school leaders. We have working experience of this process and will support and manage our partner academies through this where it is needed. We have access to legal expertise through our
external partnerships which means partner academies can be assured of receiving sound advice at every stage.
We recognise that people are our greatest asset and our ethos and values are the driving force behind ensuring our staff are valued and well managed. Our internal HR team, supported by an external consultant and the backing of a great legal team, will be on hand to give day to day advice and guidance. It also means that more complex issues such as TUPE transfers will be in a safe pair of hands.
Expert advice is available on SIMs reporting, timetabling and managing student data.
